34-Ping Oasis of Functionality and Cheer: A Fresh Green Home for a Growing Family 🍀🏠

Creating a Playful Paradise in a 34-Ping Home

When it comes to home design, it’s not just about looks; it’s about making a space where life happens, especially with a little one (or two!) in the mix. That’s exactly what Zheng Yunru, Design Director, aimed for in this 34-ping apartment, which boasts a sprawling terrace. It’s not just a house; it’s a playground, a haven, and a hub for family life rolled into one.

Layout Lingo & Design Dynamism

"We wanted a space where our child can play safely and grow happily,” Zheng explains with enthusiasm. Unlike typical living arrangements, this unique home, complete with a large terrace, posed an exciting challenge. The goal? To blend design ingenuity with high functionality to create a space that suits both adults and kids.

The team harnessed the terrace's natural light, breaking down barriers between indoors and outdoors. The result? A unique U-shaped entrance made from sturdy yet transparent glass bricks. By reorganizing the layout and replacing walls with flexible sliding doors, they crafted a see-through living room leading to a fun-filled, multi-functional kids' room. To meet the family's needs, they added a much-needed storage room near the entrance and transformed two small bedrooms into a spacious master suite with a walk-in closet, ensuring a clutter-free, organized haven.

The Entrance Ensemble

Instead of a traditional entryway leading straight into the living area, this home welcomes you with a large window right at the door, ensuring a bright entrance. To make the most of this space without compromising the light, a unique U-shaped walk-in entrance was created, complete with wall-mounted storage and a shoe bench. The glass brick wall not only maintains privacy but also bathes the area in natural light, making the first step inside feel refreshingly serene.

Living Room Layout

By removing the original partition walls, the design team opted for a combined living and dining area. The chunky TO-GO sofa, easy to move around, paired with sage green floating cabinets, injects a lively yet simplistic vibe. Instead of solid walls, interactive folding doors lead to a playful bath and toilet area, inspired by cheese holes, adding a whimsical touch for hide-and-seek fun!

Dining Delights

Although the dining area shares space with the living room, a cleverly designed L-shaped feature creates a semi-ceiling over the dining table. This design cleverly encases the overhead air conditioning unit while adding a floating feel with light strips. The terrazzo dining table, with its varied thickness, brings a playful element to the space.

Master Bedroom & Walk-In Closet

The design team decided to reserve the best-lit areas for the living room and children's space. The other end of the apartment was transformed into a tranquil sanctuary for the parents. By combining two smaller bedrooms, they created a master suite complete with a display area for the lady’s accessories, a makeup table, and a spacious walk-in closet, ensuring every inch is put to good use.

Kids' Room & Multi-Functional Space

Flexible and spacious, the area behind the living room sofa isn’t confined by solid walls. Sliding doors offer maximum versatility, while built-in cabinets and play structures along the side wall make it a child’s favorite fortress. The room even connects to the terrace, creating an extended play area.

Behind-the-Scenes Decor Fun

Initially designed for their 10-month-old, the couple’s home turned into a more joyful space with the arrival of their second child shortly after moving in. Thanks to the flexible design, the addition of another little one doesn’t cramp their style. In this happy home, children’s laughter and family fun fill every corner!

👶🌿 This house isn’t just a structure; it’s a lively green sanctuary where joy and family grow together! 🏡💚
