A Tour of a 25-Pyeong Japanese-Style Wooden Home 🏡🌿

Layout Makeover 🏠

Originally a four-room setup, the team reimagined the space into two bedrooms, a spacious dining-kitchen area, and a study. They replaced traditional partitions with glass sliding doors, enhancing the airy, open feel. The main entrance, centrally located, was not cordoned off as a separate foyer; instead, they used floor level differences and a high cabinet to subtly create an elegant entrance area.

Entrance Hall Magic ✨

To maintain an open vibe in the public areas, the entrance features a floor-level difference and extends seamlessly into the hallway and dining-kitchen area. This not only addresses cleaning needs for dirt-prone areas but also offers a visual transition through varied flooring materials. The high cabinet near the kitchen doubles as a storage solution and a display for the owner’s model collection.

Living Room Lines 🛋️

The living room showcases the owner's preference for neat lines and wood tones. The TV wall is crafted from straight-lined wooden panels with a hidden door to conceal the electrical box. The angular TV cabinet and coffee table complement the blinds, creating a harmonious linear theme.

Green Corner 🌿

A plant cabinet, fitted with growth lights and using MUJI shelves, brings a touch of nature indoors without cluttering the space.

Dining and Kitchen Area 🍽️

The open dining-kitchen area, equipped with an additional sliding door, solves the dilemma of kitchen fumes. The central island covers most storage needs, and the custom wooden dining cabinet adds a relaxed feel, perfectly matching the dining chairs.

Study Room Flexibility 📚

The study, doubling as a guest room, uses glass sliding doors for an open feel. A 90 cm wide window seat doubles as a single bed, offering relaxation space during the day and accommodation for guests at night.

Storage Cabinet Design 🗄️

The storage cabinets were designed with MUJI storage box dimensions in mind, creating a minimalist grid pattern that extends to the ceiling for a sleek and tidy appearance.

Bedroom Tranquility 🛌

The bedroom, a haven for relaxation, continues the wooden and white theme from the public area. Outdoor hobbies like diving and mountain climbing are reflected in a pegboard wall, turning the equipment into decorative elements.

This home is a testament to smart design, seamlessly integrating personal hobbies and lifestyle into a harmonious living space. 🌟🏡
