Brilliant Storage Solutions in a 21-Ping Warm Brown Sugar-Toned Apartment: A Big Reveal!

Once Upon an Old House... 🏚️ Our protagonists, Mrs. Lee and her family, craved more space after their second bundle of joy arrived. Living in a cramped 16-ping apartment, they stumbled upon this 40-year-old gem with 21 pings of space and couldn't resist its charm. The best part? Each room had windows that let in glorious sunshine.

The Hunt for the Perfect Designer 🕵️‍♀️ After scouring through the 100 Interior Design app, the family settled on three design firms. David from 日居設計 stood out with his straightforward approach, listening intently to their needs without overwhelming them with suggestions. His designs resonated with their taste, and he was on board with their timeline.

The Wish List 📝 Their new home, originally with 3 bedrooms, was reimagined into a spacious 2-bedroom, with one room merging into the living area for a grander public space. An overhaul of the plumbing and electrical systems was also on the cards.

David's Magic Touch ✨ David presented four designs, two of which exceeded the family's expectations. He masterfully utilized the natural light, merging a well-lit bedroom with the living area to amplify the space. The bathroom got a size upgrade, and the kitchen, though slightly narrower, was elongated for better functionality.

A Storage Wonderland 📚 Despite the limited space, the design team nailed the storage game. Books and magazines found their home in the multi-functional room's floor-to-ceiling cabinets. Clothes had their dedicated spaces, and other essentials were strategically placed along the traffic flow, like the dual-purpose TV cabinet which doubled as a bar counter. Even the large appliances found a convenient spot outside the kitchen.

The Big Reveal: A Cozy Kingdom Unveiled 🌟

  • Living Room: The living room merged seamlessly with the dining and multi-functional area. The TV wall served as a subtle partition, with curved edges for a softer look and child safety.

  • Dining Area: Previously cramped with the kitchen, the dining area now enjoys openness, thanks to smart cabinetry that includes a bar and display area.

  • Kitchen: Now a dedicated space, the kitchen uses a sliding door as a simple partition, with appliances and a freezer smartly placed for easy access.

  • Multi-Functional Room: This favorite spot caters to various activities throughout the day, from work to play, without the need for additional doors.

  • Master Bedroom: A sanctuary of simplicity, with uncomplicated cabinetry and a dash of color for warmth.

  • Kids' Room: Designed for two, each child has a personal wardrobe and a shared hanging area, crafted to their height.

Four Months In: A Dream Realized 💭 After settling in, the family still adores David's decision to open up the secondary bedroom. The whole area is brighter and more spacious, and the multi-functional room remains the heart of their home. David's attention to detail, like adjusting the window frame behind the sofa, did not go unnoticed, ensuring comfort and functionality.

If Only... A Thought for Future Dwellers 🤔 If they could do it over, Mrs. Lee would consider swapping the kitchen and second bedroom for an even larger kitchen. But all in all, the family is thrilled with their new, spacious home, a testament to thoughtful design and careful planning.

And there you have it, folks! A tale of transformation and clever design, making every inch count in a cozy, 21-ping home. 🌈🏠
