Kitchen Cabinet Revolution: Out with the Old, In with the New in this 17-Tsubo Creamy Korean-Style Home

The Great Unveiling: When GIGI, the design maestro from Pinxu Design, first laid eyes on this 20-year-old home, it was hiding its true potential under old decor and immovable beams. The new occupants, a couple with a newborn, had big dreams for their small space, and so began the adventure of turning this old house into a stylish, functional sanctuary.

Layout Shuffle: The previous layout, designed for rental purposes, didn't quite fit the bill for a cozy family home. Especially the kitchen – too cramped and lacking in storage. The solution? Relocate the kitchen and turn the nearby walls into a storage haven with cabinets for everything from electronics to wine. The result? A kitchen that's not just a cooking space but a central hub of home life.

Living Room Love: With a light touch of Japanese-Nordic style, the design team brought to life a living room that's both spacious and inviting. They cleverly camouflaged the awkward beams with stylish arched window frames, adding a touch of warmth and completeness to the room. Imagine a living room that's a blend of a workspace, a fitness corner, and a cozy spot to unwind – all in one!

Side Wall Storage & Appliance Cabinets: Utilizing every inch, the designers created a seamless storage flow from the entrance to the interior. Despite the lack of a dedicated storage room, the cleverly designed cabinets ensure that everything, from daily necessities to occasional use items, finds its perfect place.

Kitchen Chronicles: To keep the kitchen open and airy, no doors were added, just a subtle white grille screen to define the cooking area. It's like having a culinary stage set for daily family life.

Master Bedroom Makeover: Confronting the challenge of an immovable pillar, the design team crafted a platform and shelves that transformed an awkward corner into a cozy nook. Soft lighting and curved edges turned the master bedroom into a peaceful retreat, perfect for a family growing together.

Bathroom Retreat: Inspired by the homeowner's love for railway tiles, the bathroom sports a personality-packed style with black door frames and custom hardware. It's like having a personal spa with a dash of industrial chic.

Unforeseen Design Delights: One of the most unexpected yet delightful outcomes was the choice of apricot-grey cement paint for the sofa's backdrop. Depending on the time of day and lighting, the wall color shifts from its intended shade to a surprising pinkish hue, adding an intriguing layer of charm to the home.

In this 17-tsubo creamy dream, every corner tells a story of thoughtful design and clever use of space, proving that even in a compact home, style and functionality can coexist beautifully. It's not just a house; it's a canvas of creativity and comfort! 🛋️🎨
