Tiny Entryway, Huge Storage: 28-Pyeong Cozy Wood-Themed Home Tour!

Chapter 1: The Dream Home Purchase šŸ—ļø After acquiring a 28-pyeong presale home, the homeowners enlisted Jue Yin Design for some serious home transformation magic. With a hefty collection of books and a love for reading, they craved ample storage and an open-style study room. The design team's mission? To create a warm, intellectual space, combining white with wooden elements for a family of four's cozy sanctuary.

Designing with a Purpose šŸ“ The remodeling journey began with changing a four-bedroom layout to three and transforming a closed kitchen into an open, airy space. The goal? Brighter public areas and smooth family interaction, while reserving room for an open-style study and wooden flooring.

Before & After Floor Plan Magic šŸŖ„Ā The transformation is evident in the floor plans ā€“ it's like a caterpillar turning into a butterfly!

The Genius Entryway & Storage Room šŸšŖ The designers utilized a small space at the entrance brilliantly. A long rainbow glass door not only ensures privacy and keeps the AC in check but also marks the start of a multifunctional storage room and coat area. Itā€™s more than just a closet; it's a mini Narnia for shoes, baby strollers, bicycles, and luggage!

The Shoe Chair Secret šŸ„æĀ Adding to the entryway's charm is a petite platform doubling as a shoe chair. It's like a throne for your feet ā€“ slip on your shoes in regal comfort.

The Arc Doorway: A Gentle Guide šŸ’«Ā Designed with a soft, round arc, the door serves as a gentle guide into the home, creating a sense of space and openness.

Kitchen Wonders šŸ‘©ā€šŸ³ From a linear to an L-shaped layout, the kitchen now boasts extended countertops and storage space. The central island isn't just for show ā€“ it's a dining table too!

Spice Up the Backsplash šŸŒ¶ļø The backsplash features stone-patterned slim panels, easy to clean and adding a unique touch to the all-white kitchen.

The Dining Room Dance šŸ’ƒ A centrally placed dining table creates a dynamic flow, offering more flexibility than a wall-hugging setup.

Living Room & Book Wall Bonanza šŸ“š Instead of a TV, a projector takes the spotlight, surrounded by an entire wall of books. It's like living in a library! The design caters to young readers with magazine-rack-style shelves at eye level for the kiddos.

Sofa Back Wall Art šŸŽØĀ The back wall of the sofa is coated in a special paint that changes hues with the light. It's also prepped for displaying future Picasso-esque artworks by the little ones.

Safety First with Rounded Bookshelves šŸ›”ļøĀ The bookshelves' round columns ensure no sharp corners, keeping it child-friendly.

The Hidden Door: Where's Waldo? Style šŸšŖĀ A secret door maintains the wall's integrity, creating a unified, spacious feel.

Sunny Study Room ā˜€ļø Located in the brightest spot, this open-plan study is perfect for reading or working, with a wooden ceiling defining the area.

Master Bedroom: A Haven of Rest šŸ›Œ Continuing the warm wood-and-white theme, the master bedroom's half-height wooden headboard extends to the door, creating a visual continuation.

Clever Ceiling Camouflage šŸŒˆĀ A curved ceiling cleverly conceals beams, adding a soft touch to the room.

Dressing Room Delight šŸ’„Ā Despite its compact size, the dressing room packs in all essentials: wardrobes, shelves, a full-length mirror, and even a custom-made vanity snugly fitting into the corner.

Master Bathroom Bliss šŸ› Repositioned to face the window, the washbasin offers a relaxing view, while the new bathtub fulfills the owners' soaking dreams.

Second Bathroom: Compact Yet Complete šŸšæ With space constraints, a simple wet-and-dry separation

does the trick, using wood-patterned tiles to continue the wooden theme without feeling too cold.

And there you have it ā€“ a tour of a 28-pyeong home where every inch is utilized to create a warm, woodsy, and wonderfully spacious haven for reading, relaxing, and family time! šŸ”šŸ“–āœØ
